M.Y. Blue Bird IV
In 1938 the motor yacht Blue Bird IV was launched from the Goole Shipyard for Sir Malcolm Campbell. Sir Malcolm was planning to go treasure hunting in the Cocos Islands in the Pacific but Blue Bird was requisitioned in 1940 and went to Dunkirk to assist in the evacuation of the British Expeditionary Force.
M.Y. Blue Bird IV has sailed under many names in many countries and finally she was bought by William Collier, who had just taken over the legendary G.L. Watson design studio.
In 2006 Astilleros de Mallorca started the restoration of M.Y. Blue Bird IV. G.L. Watson, her original designers, would oversee the restoration and the late Jon Bannenberg Designs was appointed as interior designers.

Much of her steel hull was still intact, but due to stability problems caused by her heavy superstructure, it was decided to rebuild the entire superstructure. While Astilleros de Mallorca was cutting steel, Bannenberg and the Client were discussing her new general arrangement.
To reduce noise and vibration Van Capellen Consultancy was appointed and the interior was contracted to Ruiter Quality Interiors, who had worked on other yachts together with Astilleros de Mallorca.
In May 2007 M.Y. Blue Bird was completed and left Palma. In 2007 she spent the summer cruising the Eastern and Western Mediterranean, while this winter she cruised the Caribbean.

In 2008 we were delighted to win the World Superyacht Award for Best Refit.

M.Y. Blue Attraction
In the winter of 2004/2005 M.Y. Blue Attraction underwent phase one of a major refit, by her new Owner. The guest cabins and saloon areas have been fully refurbished with a new internal lighting system installed throughout, as well as the entire external lighting arrangement being completely updated. Externally, she now boasts exquisite teak decks, together with a newly altered seating area, providing more versatility and space. In addition, her paintwork has been totally refreshed, including her hull which is now dark blue. A selection of water toys including two new tenders and wave runners have also been included, bringing her up to date with all Charter demands.
M.Y. Blue Attraction was a finalist at the World Superyacht Awards for Best refitted yacht.
